BGO Surrenders UK Gambling Licence

Checkmate in chess

After the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) decided to suspend BGO Entertainment’s gambling licence in mid-October, the company has now decided to surrender its UK licence for good. This means that the brands bgo, Power Spins, 7 Casino, and Vegas Luck are all closed for UK players.

Before the 22nd of October, the BGO website stated “we are working with the Gambling Commission to resolve this situation quickly, but in the meantime, you are able to withdraw any funds currently in your account. Deposits will not be permitted.”.

However, now the statement found on the website is as follows:

BGO licence surrendered statement

“BGO Entertainment Limited surrendered its UK operating licence on 22nd October 2021. It is with regret that we have to inform you that UK players are no longer permitted to access any of our services. We kindly request that you withdraw any funds currently in your account. Deposits will not be permitted. If you’re not from the UK, please visit 7Casino.com where we continue to operate under our Alderney Licence. Regards, The BGO Team.”

If you had an account with bgo, we recommend logging in to see if you have any remaining funds. It’s not clear how long you have to withdraw your account balance so do this as soon as possible.

It’s a shame that the bgo brand will no longer operate in the UK as it’s yet another Virtue Fusion bingo site to close. However, it’s not the first time that the company has had the UKGC dig into its operations. Back in 2020, BGO Entertainment was fined £2 million due to anti-money laundering (AML) failures.
